Lake pump
In Central Texas well pumps are used to draw lake water out for landscaping use. However, there are a few inherent problems with the installation of these pumps. Currently most installations use PVC pipe which can break during floods, or eventually the torque of the pump breaks the connection. I designed and fabricated the pump skids to solve common problems. The well pump was mounted directly to the skid to avoid torque issues; an all brass check valve and connections to a Goodyear discharge hose was utlilzed to allow movement without a concern for the feed line breaking; cable harness attached to a buoy under water that keep the hoisting cable tight (this eliminates the need for a diver to raise the skid for any repairs). This specific pump skid delivers water over 1500' to fill a 10,000 gallon water storage tank. I also designed and installed a complete irrigation system that feeds over 2 acres of landscaping for the Owner.
